What You'll Find at the ReStore

How Our Program Helps You Move Forward

Our shelves change constantly — that's what makes shopping here worth a regular visit. Donations arrive from households, contractors, estate cleanouts, and local businesses, which means the inventory is always rotating and the deals are always real.

Here's what you're likely to find:

  • Furniture: sofas, dining sets, bedroom pieces, and accent items
  • Clothing: shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, and accessories
  • Appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, and more
  • Building materials: lumber, flooring, tile, cabinetry, and trim
  • Doors, windows, and hardware
  • Tools, lighting fixtures, and plumbing supplies
  • Home décor, artwork, and seasonal items

Prices are set well below retail — because the goal is to move inventory and fund the mission, not to maximize margin.

Where to Shop and When

The ReStore is located at 2805 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24540. Our store hours are:

  • Tuesday – Thursday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sunday – Monday: Closed

We are always closed on Mondays and observe closures for various holidays throughout the year. Any closures due to holidays or weather will be posted on our Facebook page, where we also share new inventory arrivals regularly — so it's worth a quick check before you make the trip.

Every Purchase Builds Something Bigger

The ReStore isn't just a thrift store — it's one of the primary ways our affiliate funds its work in the Danville and Pittsylvania County community. When you buy a set of cabinets or a gently used sofa here, those dollars go toward building homes at England Trail, supporting our Aging in Place program for seniors, and keeping our homeownership program running for working families.

Shopping here is a tangible act of community investment. You get something useful. A neighbor gets a real shot at stability.

Donate Items and Clear the Clutter for a Cause

If you have furniture, clothing, appliances, building materials, or home goods you no longer need, the ReStore accepts donations — and for large items, we'll come to you. Our donation pickup service covers Danville and Pittsylvania County, making it easy to clear out a garage, manage an estate, or offload leftover materials from a renovation project.

We accept donations from:

  • Households downsizing or moving
  • Contractors and builders with surplus materials
  • Estate cleanouts and property managers
  • Businesses replacing equipment or fixtures

Not sure if we'll take it? Reach out before you haul it over. We're happy to help you figure out if your items are a good fit.

What We Can and Cannot Accept

A Community Effort

We appreciate every donation offer — and we want to be upfront about what works for the ReStore so you're not making a trip for nothing.

We generally accept items that are clean, functional, and in good condition. We are not able to accept:

  • Mattresses or box springs
  • Tube televisions or projection TVs
  • Items with significant damage, stains, or missing parts
  • Hazardous materials of any kind
  • Encyclopedias or large sets of outdated books

When in doubt, contact us before donating. Our team will give you a straight answer.
