England Trail is a planned 17-home subdivision on Seminole Drive in Danville, Virginia. It is not a scattered collection of individual builds — it is a designed neighborhood, developed intentionally, with green space and walking trails that give families room to put down real roots. This is affordable housing development done at a scale that changes the character of a block, not just a single address.

As a City-recognized Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) receiving HOME funds through the City of Danville, we are accountable to the community in ways that go beyond good intentions. England Trail is the visible, ongoing proof of that accountability.

Every home at England Trail is sold through our Affordable Homeownership Program — a 0% interest mortgage with no profit taken by Habitat. Families who qualify pay an affordable monthly payment that reflects their actual income, not the market rate for the area. This is not a rental program, a subsidy, or a temporary fix. Families own their homes outright, building equity and stability for themselves and their children.

Who England Trail Is For

Families who purchase a home at England Trail must live or work in the City of Danville or Pittsylvania County. They go through our full homeownership process — application, homebuyer education, and sweat equity hours — and they meet income eligibility thresholds that place them in the low-to-moderate range. These are working families in substandard or unaffordable housing who have the income to sustain a mortgage but no realistic path to a conventional one. England Trail gives them that path.

The Neighborhood Itself

England Trail was designed as a neighborhood, not a row of houses. The subdivision includes:

We are a City-recognized CHDO and part of the global Habitat for Humanity network — our financials are transparent and available for review.
