Leading our community forward by empowering families and building hope through equitable access to home ownership.
HABITAT VILLAGE NORTH
DPCHFH has a positive housing solution: affordable, new single-family dwellings which can reduce a family’s monthly housing payment by 50%. Habitat Village North (HVN) is our newest building program. It will create hope and break the curse of generational poverty for thirty families by offering them a decent, affordable place to live. This new neighborhood will have up to 30 homes and will include a community space. Whether that is a community garden, sports fields, or mini-park, the whole neighborhood will participate in the community space upkeep. Each new partner family will invest in their community by building their own home and the homes of other partners. This, in turn, will build a community of cooperation, belonging and togetherness.
Phase One of HVN will begin in spring 2022, which will include the construction of five (5) houses.
