Leading our community forward by empowering families and building hope through equitable access to home ownership.
In our 32 years of service to the Danville and Pittsylvania County area, Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity has been privileged to be a force for positive change in over 200 lives.
Foundations, grant funders, individuals, businesses and churches have partnered with us to provide opportunities for more than 50 families to have a better place to live.
After years of preparation, DPCHFH has now begun the journey of creating a new neighborhood – a community where Habitat for Humanity partner families support each other and work side by side to build each other’s houses. This is what community is all about!
The Habitat Village North community will offer 20+ families a decent, safe and affordable home to help their families grow and become homeowners for life.
Thanks to our generous supporters, Phase 1 of this project is almost complete with four of the five houses currently under construction.
Families have been selected and have begun to build their new homes and way of life.
With Phase 1 almost complete, we look forward to the start of Phase 2.
We invite you to join us in this exciting project as we continue to make affordable homeownership a reality.

Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce that the Habitat Village North community has officially been renamed England Trail in memory of our beloved friend Sherman England. Sherman was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, which donated the land that this community is being built on. Sherman was a tremendous supporter of this project. The name England Trail honors Sherman’s determination to see this community become a reality as well as his love for riding trails on his bicycle.
