Meet the Deshazor family

Crystal and her three children have completed their sweat equity and partnering with DPC Habitat for Humanity in building their home.  They were in need of a safe, affordable and quality built house due to their previous living conditions.  They experienced substandard housing conditions, such as roof leaks which led to mold causing health risks for her and her children.  Her girls also experienced unsafe conditions in their neighborhood and were fearful most days to be outside.
Once they move into their new home the children can go outside and play and not live in constant fear every time they hear fighting within the neighborhood.  The construction of this home is complete and the Deshazor family is excited to begin their new life, and year, in a positive way.

The Habitat Family

Habitat for Humanity believes that everyone deserves a decent place to live.  We create opportunities for families to transform their lives, gaining the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better future.  Please consider being part of the Habitat Family!
Our next house will be part of a community.  We were blessed with a donation of approximately 6 acres of land from St. Luke's United Methodist Church many years ago.  DPC Habitat for Humanity will embark on an exciting project of changing the lives of 30 families!  With this land we have the ability to build 30 safe, affordable and quality built houses.  This project is called HABITAT VILLAGE and we are very excited to do something a little different, and better, for those in need in our community.
If you would like to partner with us by donating funds, materials for the houses, and/or volunteering with the construction of the houses you can do so by clicking on the buttons at the bottom of this page.
We also appreciate prayers for HABITAT VILLAGE, our volunteers and staff as we build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter!
