Mission Statement
"Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity is an inter-faith self-help housing ministry. Through serving God and our community, we strive to eliminate substandard housing in Danville and Pittsylvania County by being a major supplier of safe, simple and decent housing through affordable homeownership in partnership with low-income working families."
Adequate housing is a basic human need. Unfortunately too many people in our community do not have a decent place to call home.
We are Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity, an ecumenical, Christian, self help housing ministry that does not discriminate on the basis of religion, gender, color or ethnic background. DCP Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat For Humanity International which works worldwide to eliminate sub-standard housing.
Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity organizes community resources to build simple, decent, adequate, affordable houses for low income families. Through the efforts of many volunteers in our community over twenty families have become homeowners since 1991.
Homes are built with generous donations of labor, funds, and materials from individuals, churches, synagogues, businesses, foundations, and corporations. All donations great and small are appreciated.
Equal Employment Opportunity: "All qualified applicants will recieve consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin."
